For the record, hybridizing the singular mode of art that drives Puffy with the more traditional hand-drawn art we normally used in the comic is a moderately interesting project to undertake as an author, despite the overall effect being an injection of solid mediocrity into the veins of an otherwise healthy patient. I could easily counter such complaints by reminding one that what we offer is free of charge and thus not bound by audience expectation, but the fact of the matter is that I am conducting such debate internally within myself because it is I who am most disappointed in the apparent quality of the work.
The concept that if we were somehow compensated for our work on the comic that we would do a better job preys on my mind often as of late. It seems a forgone conclusion to me, but hardly an optimal framework with which to create something interesting and meaningful.
As I have little more offer at the moment in terms of content, as most of the material brewing the pot is reserved for future comics, please accept the above insight into the neuroses of a co-author of largely insignificant work for now.
Ja.
