For the record, I got back into school, but almost all the courses I need are full, and the few that aren’t will be by the time I’m allowed to start registering during the late add period. My admission came six hours short of making the regular registration period. My end of that particular stick may seem short, but I’ve shoehorned myself into the odd course here and there before. Now I’ve just got to do it for all of them. At once. I might even have to buy a pen for all the paperwork. Ghastly.
In retrospect it might not have been the best idea to publish this strip ten hours before I delivered notice to my employers, but I doubt any of them have ever been to the site. The twin spectres of unemployment and poverty loom ominously above. I was never really without employment during semesters past, but at the same time I never had much reading to do in computer science. Oh yes, and I didn’t have a kid either. That’s kind of major.
I just hope I’m still young enough not to get pegged at the class’ old guy. Being the old guy sucks.
Ja.
